Our Mission
Hillier Hewitt specialises in the
provision of investment advice, taxation advice, tax
planning, pension planning, retirement planning,
accounting and auditing for self managed superannuation
funds (smsf). Our mission is to excel as self managed
superannution specialists (smsf specialists) and to
continually seek new areas of innovation for
smsf.
To always work closely with our clients to
understand their needs and provide suggested solutions
for their accounting, financial or taxation
problems.

best possible up to the minute comprehensive accounting,
taxation and business advisory service

Our primary objective is to assist you
to ensure that your business is profitable and then to
discuss investment strategies with you that will result
in an overall increase in your net wealth. Tax planning
forms a vital part of this strategy.
The Principals
The
founding principals of the firm are Ed Hillier and
Paul Hewitt. Both were educated at Newcastle University
and are members of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in Australia. Each has over thirty years
extensive experience in the accounting profession. Paul
Hewitt is an SMSF Specialist Advisor as accredited with
SPAA (Self-managed super fund Professionals' Association
of Australia).
Because of this
experience they are well versed in the problems faced by
small business and taxpayers generally.
"Hewitts"
of Cessnock and Ed Hillier's firm at Belmont merged in
1990 and now have offices in Belmont in Lake Macquarie,
Cessnock in the Hunter Valley, The Junction in Newcastle
and Budgewoi on the Central Coast.
Our office at
Budgewoi was opened on the 1st July 2010 following the
acquistion of the practice of Trevor Tynan and
Associates.
Shane McGrath, Brendan Curran and
Matthew Connell became partners on 1st July, 2010.
